Top 10 Ultimate Sticky Bitch Moves of All Time!

Let’s be honest, pretty much every pole move feels like you need to be a sticky bitch when you first learn it. From laybacks, Jade splits, Allegras, and leg hangs, your body is just crying out for a tiny bit of reprieve from the pain of holding on with the sheer skin of your thigh / armpit / toe. For those of us who have become crazily addicted to painful #polegoals or just want to nail that next Instagram-worthy trick, here are our top 10 ultimate sticky bitch moves you’ll want to try right now, from classic advanced poses to skin-ripping stuff that’s currently trending.

1. Velcro butt / Seahorse

As the name implies the Velcro Butt will test how much grip you have in your glutes! Starting from a Genie, this move beautifully transitions into a magical Seahorse, as popularised by our favourite Royal Queen of All Muscle Butts, Michelle Shimmy.

2. Deathlay

Yep no trick photography here, that’s a pole dancer floating on the CEILING. Who says polers aren’t attracted to the light?!

3. Titanic

Near… far… .I believe that… .my arse will stick on… .forever! Titanic used to be my worst nemesis trick till I had to learn it so I could teach it. So why not take it one step further and learn it in heels?? (Tip – try doing RLnA a few times a week – it literally works wonders to build a super-strong butt!). If you’re staying afloat in this one why not try this stunning variation demonstrated below by Jihye:

4. Miracle

Ok seriously, we just don’t get this one, like where is the freaking grip?? In the armpit? Miracle is perhaps the most well known floaty pose by Aline Kerber; other similar moves she created include #pdnirvana #pddharma #pddakini and #pdjujuba. She told CRNP “I use zero grip aid”. And we love her even more for it! Big thanks to her mumma Lilian Kerber for this awesome shot!

5. Yogini / Rocketman

If the skin of your armpit hasn’t been filed down to a raw nothingness, here is the classic Yogini, which we love the look of, but makes us cry. A close variation is the Rocket Man, where both legs are kept straight. (Thanks @gisellepoleart for your neat tutorial!).

6. Knee Hold

Time to give our arms a rest and work our knees! This bad-ass knee-hold is still favourited in many pole shows; I remember seeing it way back in 2007 in Candice Leigh’s winning Miss Pole Dance Australia performance (an awesome show by the way that thankfully is still available on YouTube). I used to like doing this move till I grew a hard bony egg shape on my kneecap… did the same thing happen to anyone else?!

7. Floor Violator

Nothing is more sticky-n’-sweet than the floor violator! Inspired by our own Cleo the Hurricane, this move also has a neat sneaky-split transition by threading the top leg through (watch the vid for a demo!)

8. Starfish

One of Evgeny Greshilov’s many signature moves, this one is probably the only one on the list we haven’t seen done in heels (for obvious reasons!) But so totally wicked in bare feet that we’re happy to lose the heels for this one!

9. Black Sun

The Black Sun is so *hot* right now (excuse the pun). But you can see why! It makes the cradle spin look so easy in comparison, but both are sure-fire tummy burners.

10. Elbow Hang

Last but not least on our top 10 list is this cute elbow hang, cos y’know, you and your pole bruises are gonna be besties for a long, long time x
